Following an OCHA led inter-agency fact-finding (low profile assessment) mission last week to Katcha areas of Khairpur in Sindh province, coupled with OCHA and Humanitarian Partners' advocacy to the local authorities. The district authorities in Khairpur are now paying attention to the more than 25,000 people affected by floods in the Katcha areas.
We will appreciate if humanitarian actors can coordinate their response with PMDA, DDMA and OCHA to mitigate duplicity.
Attached is a letter issued by Khairpur district authorities for localized response.
In the meantime, OCHA in close coordination with Sindh PDMA and PMD continues to monitor the projected impact of cyclone/tropical depression mainly in Sindh over the weekend.
Thanks,Gift
