Good Afternoon Sector Colleagues,

 

I trust you are doing well. We have received information from PDMA KP, about flood damages in districts Upper and Lower Chitral in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. 120 houses have been destroyed, along with damage to infrastructure and lively hood. Authorities have also reached us out to assist. Attached please find PDMA KP presentation and latest report along with information and data detailing damages in Chitral. We are in coordination with PDMA and kindly asks partners with stocks and presence in KP to support through NFI and emergency shelters. Sector focal point will be in contract for potential assistance in Chitral.

 

Please also find attached NDMA’s recent SitRep with rains alert and flood situation in major rivers throughout the country. Please take note of the predicated situation including flash floods, hill torrents, raising levels in major rivers, in at risk districts.

 

As part of the sector preparedness, we kindly ask partners to ensure stocks and capacity availability on standby.  We will be sharing information as we receive.
