Dear Sector Colleagues,

 

Please find attached significant flood warning issued by Pakistan meteorological department on July 5th ,2023. Very high to exceptionally high-level flooding is expected in the river Chenab because of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the upper catchments of river Sutlej, Ravi & Chenab. High to very high-level flooding is also expected in the nullahs of rivers Ravi and Chenab.

 

Flash floods in hill torrent areas of D.G Khan are also expected due to heavy falls from 6th to 8th July 2023.

 

Shelter NFI CCCM partners at National level and in Punjab are requested to remain alert and ensure preparedness.
