Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you, that the International Organization of Migration (IOM) in Pakistan is conducting one-day training on Housing Land and Property (HLP) focusing on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). The training is the outcome of an overview exercise carried out by IOM in January 2023 in KPK on HLP issues resulting the 2022 floods. It is a one-day training opportunity to strengthen the capacities of relevant partners on HLP with a view to inform emergency and recovery responses across all sectors, including shelter/NFI, WASH, livelihoods, protection, etc. The training is open to Government officials, UN agencies, NGOs, civil society actors, academia, private engineers, architects, lawyers, and other relevant actors. Please find attached the concept note and agenda.

IOM can also organize dedicated one-day training sessions on HLP for individual organizations who would be interested in strengthening the HLP capacities of their staff and field teams.

The HLP trainings will take place in May and June 2023 in various locations in KPK and Islamabad. Each session will accommodate 25-30 participants, and training arrangements, venue, lunch and snacks will be covered by IOM.

Please confirm participation by sending the name of the participants, job titles, the name of the organization, and relevant contact details (phone number and email address) to Anita Kapadia (ankapadia@iom.int) and Rubina Yasir (ruyasir@iom.int) by Friday, 21 April 2023 COB

Looking forward to your participation!

Best regards,

Ar. Dr. Anita Kapadia
